DLC: SHEN’S LAST GIFT

VISÃO GERAL

Shen’s Last Gift is the second DLC for XCOM 2. It contains a story mission and a new soldier class (the SPARK unit). Like Alien Hunters, you will need to start a new game with the DLC enabled in order to access the story mission. If you enable the DLC on a game that is already in progress, you can build SPARK units but not access the story mission. The only missable trophy in this DLC is Make ‘em go Boom, which must be done in the Lost Towers story mission.

GUIA DE TROFÉUS

 A Torch Passed
Beat the Lost Towers mission

You will gain access to the Shen’s Last Gift DLC mission early in the campaign but you should wait until you have the Squad Size I and II upgrades before attempting it, as it’s easy to get overwhelmed. I won’t give any spoilers here but it would be a good idea to bring along a Combat Hacker Specialist or two, as you will primarily be fighting robots.

 Our New Overlords
Promote a SPARK unit to Champion rank

The SPARK unit is the new soldier class in the game. You will receive one after completing the Lost Towers mission (see A Torch Passed) but you can create more from the Proving Ground. These are robotic units that use a cannon, SPARK BIT (similar to the GREMLIN) and can be equipped with a single Heavy Weapon but cannot use cover and do not heal by normal means because instead, you must repair them in Engineering aboard the Avenger.

In order to promote a SPARK unit to Champion rank (the maximum rank), you will need approximately 42 kills on Rookie difficulty. This is probably the most time-consuming trophy in this DLC so it would be a good idea to start working on it as soon as you finish the Lost Towers mission.

 Rise of the Robots
Complete a mission with three or more SPARK units in the squad

You receive a SPARK unit automatically after completing the Lost Towers mission (see A Torch Passed) but you can purchase more from the Proving Ground. Once you have enough, simply complete any mission with at least three SPARK units on your squad to obtain this trophy.

 Matter Over Mind
Defeat an Avatar with a SPARK unit

There are only two times you encounter an Avatar in the game: Yhen you use a Skullmine on a Codex (can only be done once) (see A God Falls) and during the final mission. You will need to bring a SPARK unit along with you when you do this. Only the killing blow needs to be from the SPARK unit so weaken the Avatar with other units first. As with most things in this game, you should save beforehand so that you can reload the save if you accidentally kill the Avatar with the wrong unit.

 Running on Fumes
A SPARK unit survives a mission it started with less than half health

SPARK units must be repaired in Engineering to recover health. Simply bring a SPARK unit into a mission, allow it to take enough damage that its health drops below half but don’t repair it. Now begin another mission (preferably an easy one), bring the damaged SPARK unit along and use your other units to complete the mission. As long as the damaged SPARK unit survives the mission, the trophy will pop.

 Bells and Whistles
Outfit a SPARK unit with the highest tier weaponry and armor

You will need to research the Plasma Rifle and Powered Armor technologies, then purchase the SPARK’s Tier 3 weapon (Elerium Plasma-Cannon) and armor (Anodized Chassis) in Engineering. Equip them on a SPARK unit for this trophy.

 Always be Shooting
Hit three shots on a single turn with a SPARK unit after using its Overdrive ability

Overdrive is an ability that allows the SPARK unit to take three actions on the same turn but multiple standard shots suffer an accuracy penalty. In order to obtain this trophy, the SPARK unit must successfully hit a target with all three shots (standard attack) on the same turn. It’s best to attack at close range, preferably at an enemy who is not in cover, to increase the chances of a successful hit. You could also teach the SPARK unit Adaptive Aim (learned at the first rank up), which eliminates the accuracy penalty (thanks to gh0stface for this tip).

Axles to Axles, Bolts to Bolts
Defeat a robotic enemy with a SPARK unit

Simply defeat any of the robotic enemies in the game with a SPARK unit. Only the killing blow matters. This will likely come naturally in the Lost Towers mission (see A Torch Passed).

Just Like Dad Used To Make
Build a SPARK unit

You can build a SPARK unit from the Proving Ground (see Tinker) once you have completed the Lost Towers mission (see A Torch Passed). The cost of building a SPARK unit on Rookie difficullty is 2 Elerium cores, 100 supplies, 20 alien alloys and 5 Elerium crystals (thanks to gh0stface for this info).

 Make ‘em go Boom
Kill an enemy primed Derelict MEC before it can self-destruct

Missable!

The Derelict MEC is a robotic enemy that only appears in the Lost Towers mission (see A Torch Passed). To get this trophy, you need to cause the MEC to enter the self-destruct phase and then kill it before it can explode. There are lots of these enemies in the mission.
